Great Moments In Unlicensed Pittsburgh Sports Merch: LeBeau Knows Defense

psampmerchfeature

Continuing our look into the wide array of generic Pittsburgh sports shirt at just ONE weekday training camp practice, here’s a fantastic shirt honoring the one and only NFL HALL OF FAMER (!!!) Dick LeBeau. If anyone deserves an unlicensed shirt, it’s LeBeau.

LeBeau Knows Defense is probably the most correct phrase of all time. It’s a play on Nike’s famous Bo Knows ad featuring Bo Jackson. Bo Jackson makes me think of A) the awesome show ProStars and B) that my PSAMP alias used to be tecmo_bowl_bo_jackson before just shortening it to tecmo. I know I’ve gone a little off-topic here, but you can see that this great shirt has made me think of some cool personal memories.

As with most generic sports shirts, there’s no officially-licensed images or words. This shirt uses a simple gold font on a black base to imply that it belongs to the Steelers, and even has a football in place of the letter O in the word Knows, in case you hadn’t already figured it out to that point.

Sorry that the shirt is sideways in the picture. We were just snapping pics as soon as a generic piece caught our eye.

If you have any unlicensed Pittsburgh sports gear, or awesome generic sports gear from any team, send them to me and I’ll post them.

(thanks to Cotter for the banner pic)
