I’ve been moaning about this team’s offensive inconsistency the past few weeks. So it was nice to see the Steelers use the clearly-inferior Browns as a way to tune up the offense leading up to the playoffs. We’ll have a first-round bye thanks to the win, and it’s much easier to wait 2 weeks for a game after your team shows that they’re clicking at the right time. Had they stumbled through this game, I’m sure we’d all be over-analyzing the unnecessary.

41-3 Steelers.

Who did what?

Ben: 15 of 22 for 280 yards and 2 passing TDs and 5 consecutive scoring drives. And that was in less than 3 quarters of action. 5 of 5 motorcycle helmets. As good a game as you’d want from Ben before the playoffs start.

Mendy: No real yards to speak of but was involved in a balanced scoring attack, matching Ben’s 2 passing TDs with 2 of his own on the ground. That can’t be ignored. 3.5 of 5 motorcycle helmets.

Defense: Another stunning game. 3 INTs and 4 sacks. The defense kept pace with a fantastic offensive output. 4.5 of 5 helmets. That last Cleveland TD was nonsense.

Cheap Trick: I played it before both the 1st and 2nd half as normal. The Steelers scored at will in the 1st and scored on their first possession in the 2nd. It was just an unstoppable end to the season. 5 of 5 motorcycle helmets. 10-3 on the season. We’ll see how much it can help in the postseason.

And with that, the regular season is over. It was awesome while it lasted. The Steelers can rest up and prepare for the Ravens or Chiefs in 2 weeks.
