With the Penguins playing the Caps yesterday, I decided to partake in a little gentleman's bet with my good buddies over at Gunaxin, who just so happen to be Caps fans. Losing team/blogger would let the other post ridiculous, team-specific garbage on the opposing site, blah, blah, blah.

Of course, the Pens lost, and today just so happened to be the launch of the all-new PSAMP. So I had to let the mouth-breathers at Gunaxin take over a post, which is what you'll see below. Or over at their place, too.

Enjoy, I guess.

In honor of the Capitals win over the Penguins today, I thought I would present some highlight videos of the players involved. Of course we need to start by looking at the best player in the World, Alex Ovechkin, with both "The Goal" and "The Sequel" along with these other highlights

...and his buddy Alexander Semin

...and "The Setup Man," Nicklas Backstrom

... and your Norris Trophy winner, Mike Green:

Together they are called the Young Guns, and they make up the most talented young collection of players in the league. Yeah, you heard me, in the League.

So the Penguins fans don't feel left out, here is the WhinyCindy Crosby:

And some Malkinlove for yah, too.

and now some highlights from today's game:

"What I can say about him?" Ovechkin said. "He is a good player, but he talks too much.""What, I can't play hard against him? What is he going to do, cry?"

Puck Fittsburgh.

I'd like to personally thank the dudes from Gunaxin for including so many YouTube videos in this post that it took 20 minutes to load in my browser.

Go Pens.

Form an outsider, this is an excellent idea, betting the opposition for a blog post. Well done folks, though I don't think I could have been as civil had I bet and won against the Canucks bloggers...

@Cotter... get a faster connection, a new computer, or a better browser. Loaded for me in a little under three seconds. (yes, I can sense the sarcasm in the post...)

I'm a big ranger fan but i think the caps really are the beasts of the east. Ovechkin is just unstoppable.

Next time you bet the farm for a day, you might want to check with the team first, to see if they plan to show up. -JW

@Buddha Jokes, dude. I make them. I really couldn't care less about the videos. I just thought it'd make a funny comment. Unfortunate that you didn't find it to be that way. Oh well.

Go Pens.

Cotter - Yeah, it was loading slow for me, too in IE. Loaded just fine in firefox, though.

Buddha - I was hoping for the win (since we had 2 in a row prior) so I could shit on Gunaxin. Too bad.

Cell Phone - Against the system we played against them on Sunday, yes. But as Domski said below, their goalie situation is going to kill them

JWjr - Right? There was no cohesiveness to our offense at all. And we couldn't clear our own zone to save our lives.

Domski - Perfectly put. They can score 4+ goals a game, but they won't be allowing 2 or less all the time.. It's bound to get 'em sooner or later. I say second round of the playoffs as well.

Sorry for being so late on the reply, all. A virus killed my work computer. Thanks for stopping by, though!

What makes you think that the goalie will be exposed. Chris Osgood has two Cups and he's awful

I don't know, maybe the fact that Theodore is 206-208 for his career in the regular season, and 19-26 come playoff time. And Brent Johnson is 5-6 in the playoffs. They might NOT implode, but the numbers suggest otherwise.

Osgood is at least 18 games over .500 in his playoff career (59-41). And at least MAF is 15-10

Ok, let me just be clear for everyone, because apparently implicit jokes aren't what they used to be. Everything loaded fine for me. And quickly. But you know, being that I like to try and be funny, I thought I'd make light of the fact that Gunaxin had more videos in this post than actual writing. I guess next time I'll have to make things less subtle. In the meantime, y'all should read a book or something. Get smarter.

Next bet we have, I'm including one more video on your site than you have here. It's about to get ridiculous...

Hahaha, well said.

And to be even clearer - the video thing wasn't meant as a dig. I just went with the easy joke.
