Lynn Swann Is In The Bowling Hall Of Fame

“Ten Frames? Psssht. That’s for Quakers.”

Pittsburgh athletes past and present really love to bowl. And that’s cool with me, because then I get to splice Kingpin quotes into every post that even remotely discusses the sport.

We’ve seen multiple instances of Big Ben hitting the lanes. Jerome Bettis is a Bowling Hall of Fame member. Even the Penguins hung out with some Make-A-Wish kids by knocking down a few pins. Now, it looks like Bettis is getting some company.

The former Steelers RB was the first celebrity inductee of the International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame. Following him was former MLB pitcher Tom Candiotti. Now, Swann joins both as the third inductee of this branch of the HOF. Swann wouldn’t make the HOF based on his admitted high score of about 190, but gets in based on his charitable and promotional work for the sport. Because…

“…Sometimes a bowler just has to face the music.”
