I’m late on this news.
Cuts were made on Saturday, but I was away from the good ole internet til now. Here’s a list of the players who didn’t make the team, as well as the depth chart (which I copied and pasted from the good guys at Doubt About It. Plagiarism rules) and the list of players signed to the practice squad.
– Cuts:
WR Dallas Baker, TE Cody Boyd, OT Jason Capizzi, TE Jon Dekker, RB Verron Haynes, CB Chidi Iwuoma, CB Jovon Johnson, FB John Kuhn, S Mike Lorello, CB Anthony Madison, CB Grant Mason, DE Ryan McBean, DE Shaun Nua, C Chukky Okobi, DT Scott Paxson, C Marvin Philip, QB Bryan Randall, LB Ron Stanley, OG Cameron Stephenson, OT Brandon Torrey, WR Gerran Walker, LB Rian Wallace and WR Walter Young.
– Who PSaMP is sad to see go:
Capizzi, Haynes, Iwuoma, Young.

WR Dallas Baker, TE Jon Dekker, DB Grant Mason, DL Ryan McBean, DL Scott Paxon, C/G Marvin Philip, WR Gerran Walker and RB Jamaal Branch, who was with the Saints.
– Why Marvin Philip’s name is on the depth chart and the practice squad:
Once the cuts were made final, Philip’s spot on the team was secure. However, the Steelers then traded a 2008 conditional draft pick to the Falcons for return specialist Allen Rossum. Philip was then cut, and signed to the practice squad. He’s had a rough couple of days.
I didn’t believe a word from Tomlin when he said he was happy with Willie Reid’s performance on Thursday, and the signing of Rossum puts some heat on Reid. Rossum is legit. I was always an asshole in Madden, playing with Atlanta just to run with Mike Vick. Rossum got me tons of return touchdowns. I hope he does the same for the Steelers.
– In other news:
Kendall Simmons just got paid. A 4 year extension for $24 mil. Wow. That’s all I can say.
