An uncharacteristic 38-34 win over the D.C. Divas this weekend helped the Passion extend their winning streak to 16 games (3-0 this season).
You like that picture? I did it myself…in case you were wondering.
The teams traded the lead back and forth, showing fans that although they’re used to blowing out opponents, Pittsburgh knows how to play with the pressure on.
With the win, the Passion are now tied for first place in the N. Atlantic Division. The New York Sharks also sit at 3-0. May 31st is setting up to be a power struggle between the two teams.
Props to Lori Johnson, who caught an 83-yard touchdown pass to set a team record previously held by Wilma Walton.
Next week, Pittsburgh welcomes the Columbus Phantoms. They’re 0-3. I don’t like to predict wins and losses, but this matchup looks positive for the Passion.
