Maybe I’m a little biased because the game heavily involves Troy Polamalu and the Steelers, but this newly-released intro for Madden 2010 is awesome. It’s really just a collection of badass plays by both the Steelers safety and the former Pitt Panthers WR set to some epic musical score. And honestly, do you need anything else for a football video game?
The game doesn’t come out until August 14th, but EA Sports has been good about releasing screenshots, videos, interviews and gameplay teases at intervals that will keep you captivated right up until the game hits the shelves.
And the intro was very well done. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten chills from a video game opening before. Well…maybe Super Dodge Ball on NES, but that’s about it.
