Here’s a shot of Heinz Field during this weekend’s WPIAL high school football championship games. And yes, that is a steamroller on Heinz Field’s notoriously crappy turf.
Y’know, there’d probably be way less complaints about the turf at Heinz if they just switched to that concrete-hard astroturf that they had at Three Rivers. Yeah, there’d be more broken bones instead of horrible footing, but you take what you can get. Plus they could use that steamroller when they were installing the base.
