Thanks to now-infamous Pens fan Wayne for this. He snapped this pic and a bunch of other unlicensed pieces when he stopped by the Strip District for Game 5 against the Canadiens.
As is the case with most unlicensed pieces that we’ve seen here at PSAMP, there are no official team names shown. Those are all officially licensed by the teams themselves. So the next best thing is to write each city’s name, with the team colors and scripts. And in Cincinnati’s case, cute little Tony the Tiger stripes.
The shirt itself uses a good, bad and ugly theme. Since this a Steelers-centric shirt from the Strip District, they’re obviously the good. If I do say so myself, the Browns and Ravens are bad and ugly respectively. And since the AFC North has 4 teams and not 3, the vendor needed another term to describe the nonsense Bengals. Convicted seems to be a good-enough word. Throw in a cartoon ball-and-chain, and the Bengals get even more adorable. Awww.
If you have any unlicensed Pittsburgh sports gear, or awesome generic sports gear from any team, send them to me and I’ll post them.
(thanks to Cotter for the banner pic)
