These come from Blog N Gold a fews weeks back. My bud Dan pointed out a few unlicensed Big Ben-themed shirts on International T-Shirt Day. And since Ben is peeing or not peeing his way back into the news, we might as well highlight some of the shirts mocking him.
I’ve more or less hidden the Big Ben ones that’ve been emailed in by readers and friends, cos I’ve kept Roethlisberger stories to a minimum since news of the Milledgeville accusation came about. It was sorta my way of counterattacking the media onslaught. But whatever…training camp is coming up and we gotta deal with this stuff sooner or later, so here we go.
The Jagoff one is funny. The term jagoff is so deeply ingrained in the culture of Pittsburgh that it applies to Big Ben, as well as any knucklehead not accused of sexual assault. And even without the off-field distractions in Nevada and Georgia, Ben was already considered to be a pretty big jagoff.
The other one mocks the now-infamous devil-face shirt that Ben was seen wearing in all the pre-alleged-shenanigans pictures from Georgia. Only this one has a football helmet with the number 7. Funny, funny.
See, that wasn’t too bad. We didn’t even have to get into a heated argument over the hypocrisy of assuming with certainty that Ben assaulted someone while insulting those of us who wish to respect the reports from the police and doctors. Keep it together, Nick…
If you have any unlicensed Pittsburgh sports gear, or awesome generic sports gear from any team, send them to me and I’ll post them.
