It felt like it was time to bust out an unlicensed Geno shirt from the queue since he played an incredible game in Nashville last night. He was the game’s 3rd star with a goal and an assist. And that doesn’t even count the fact that he was everywhere on the ice, making several Predators look severely inferior in the process.
I’m a big fan of simple shirts, and this one gets it done. A red image combining Pens forward Evgeni Malkin with Russian imagery such as a sickle and hockey stick rather than sickle and hammer on a plain white shirt. Kinda serves as a reminder of how us Pens fans waited to hear any news on Geno when he was sneaking out of Russia prior to the current Pens nucleus finally coming together. Feels like ages ago.
