Great Moments In Unlicensed Pittsburgh Sports Merch: Jackula Lambert

Thanks to Alex for this. It’s from The 39er at the Waterfront in Homestead. As the image on the shirt expressly states, it honors (in small print) Jack Lambert, better known (in much, much larger print) as Dracula. The vendor used one of the most iconic pictures of Lambert, which luckily is devoid of any Steelers logos. Alex says:

I saw this at the 39 cent cards and more store at the waterfront and was stunned to say the least.  Then I laughed.

How can you laugh at “PITTSBURGH FOOTBALL: IT’S IN YOUR BLOOD“? Especially when BLOOD is written in some kickass script?

I swear that there’s gotta be some secret code among unlicensed vendors with these designs. There’s always some colorful airbrushing, or some dated background or fonts or something. Like, check out the officially-licensed shirt I wore back in 2008 when me and Cotter met Amos Zereoue. It’s simple, yet gets the message across. I guess when you can’t legally display the names and logos, you gotta go way overboard with everything else.

If you have any unlicensed Pittsburgh sports gear, or awesome generic sports gear from any team, send them to me and I’ll post them.
