Reebok has been the official NFL uniform provider for the past few years. Their contract with the league runs out after the 2011 season (if there is one), and Nike is taking over beginning in 2012.
Sure, this is just a Photoshop concept and likely won’t ever meet with approval, but just imagining that these ideas made it this far is enough to astound me.
If this ends up as the Steelers’ official jersey, I think I’d start rooting for the Mayans in 2012.
ps – i should mention that these are fan art that was passed around the internet as nike-approved. but i’ll still bash nike cos they have a gazillion dollars and i wouldn’t put this past them. just look at the oregon ducks…
