What you are seeing is an Upper Deck Sidney Crosby holiday hockey card that is a direct result of Sid’s first professional hockey card endorsement. You are also seeing a horrible jersey crest featuring a skating reindeer instead of a skating penguin and some awful green accent colors.
Since Upper Deck adjusted the Pens logo to feature a reindeer for the holidays and to avoid running into trouble with the officially-licensed Pens logo, we could very nearly include this in the Great Moments In Unlicensed Pittsburgh Sports Merch archives. But I really don’t want to.
Nice snowflakes on the gloves though, I guess.
