So it appears that teams that wear the color red like to rip off classic commercials featuring Pittsburgh sports stars. And if Troy Polamalu is involved, it increases the rip-off likelihood by 100%.
Jimmy Rollins of the Phillies made some horrible commercial in the mold of the awesome Mean Joe Greene Coca-Cola commercial. You’ll remember that Polamalu officially remade the spot before Jimmy dirtied it up for an eBay wannabe.
Now, 49ers TE Vernon Davis is spoofing Troy’s Head and Shoulders ad to help the US Olympic Curling team. Davis should be praised for his support of such an odd sport. However, I’d like to see a little more “you asked with your eyes” in order for me to sign off on the endorsement.
