Antonio Brown’s Dad Is Now An AFL And NJCAA Hall Of Famer

It is easy to think of Steelers 2nd-year WR Antonio Brown as an out-of-nowhere guy. He played collegiate ball at Central Michigan and was drafted in the 6th round. Not really flashy stuff there. He opened his career with an outstanding 89-yard reverse kickoff return TD and had perhaps the catch of the Steelers’ season when he pinned a ball against his helmet to seal the playoff win over the Jets. So it looked like he just appeared and started immediately making his own legacy.

But he comes from football blood. His dad is Touchdown Eddie Brown, one of the greatest AFL players ever and an NJCAA and NCAA standout. For his efforts, he was just inducted into both the AFL and NJCAA HOFs.

No clue where I’m going with this information. I just wanted to show love for a young guy in Antonio who is just all-around fun to watch, and his dad who is finally getting the recognition he deserves. So while Antonio finds new ways to stun every week, he still has a bit to go to catch up to his father. I’m pumped to watch him try.
