I’d venture to say that more kids in Pittsburgh want to grow up to play for the local Pirates, Penguins and Steelers more than say, modelling. With the Steel Mills and sports and Iron City and manliness everywhere, there’s a certain Zoolander black lung and merman stigma if you wanted to be a model. But if you end up playing for those teams beforehand, you should be good.
Take local boys Neil Walker and Ryan Mundy, who both live the dream by suiting up for the hometown teams. And now they’re models, too. They did a photoshoot for SAVOY Restaurant that partially highlighted their respective sports. And no gasoline fights broke out either.
