Thanks to my bud Benson for sending this over.
Despite the Pirates loss last night, Andrew McCutchen provided a truly memorable moment with his go-head two-run home run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Prior to that, the Buccos had a terribly poor showing offensively and struggled to even get guys on base. And with Charlie Morton pitching an incredible one-run ballgame, it looked like the Pirates were gonna get blanked.
And then this happened:
That's Benson's edit of the home run with Greg Brown's radio-side call. Brown is known to go berserk at big moments, and this was no exception.
Unfortunately, Mark Melancon blew the save opportunity in the top of the 9th, rendering this huge moment nullified. But it still exists as a thing that can happen at any time for these Pirates, provided potential MVP Andrew McCutchen is at the plate.
