Growing up while going to a Catholic grade school, we used to have the annual St. Francis blessing of the animals right in the church/school parking lot. I honestly cannot remember if anyone brought in a mini pony over all those years…maybe a regular-sized horse, but this was also PA in like 1990 and not NYC in 2013. Here, we make sure there's at least one mini pony present.
This one took place at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine on Manhattan's Upper West Side on Sunday.
