Scientists pieced together the oldest genome sequence ever, using a fossilized mini horse bone to map out all kinds of ancestry for Einstein and Thumbelina and everyone else. And by mapping the 700,000 year genome, they bested the previous record by 600,000 years. So basically we know the most about mini horse history. I love this.
