This is another shirt from our trip to Steelers training camp in Latrobe. I was expecting only a few generic shirts in attendance, but the number we got exceeded even my expectations. And I thought my expectations were pretty normal since I’ve investigated way more unlicensed Pittsburgh sports shirts than you. I’m glad I was wrong.
We’ve seen a number of generic Polamalu shirts in this Great Moments feature. There was this one that also played off the Tasmanian Devil theme, this one, another Taz shirt and this one where he made it in number only.
I wanna see what direction the unlicensed vendors go in the future when coming up with new Polamalu shirts. I’ve only featured one with the fake hair on the back, but there’s been countless versions of that design. And now after three Tasmanian Devil shirts, I’ll admit that the reference is getting tired. We get it, he moves everywhere real fast like that nutjob from Looney Tunes.
I wanna see some new references, generic vendors. I’m putting you on notice.
If you have any unlicensed Pittsburgh sports gear, or awesome generic sports gear from any team, send them to me and I’ll post them.
(thanks to Cotter for the banner pic)
