It’s true, his love of Geno has resulted in some awesome generic shirts sent my way. Here’s 2 directly related to Malkin (1, 2) and 3 more that still feature his number in some way (1, 2, 3) as well as Geno being pictured with one of the greatest unlicensed pieces to date (here).
This one has the Russian hockey player’s image with the legendary phrase of fictional countryman and boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, “I Must Break You.” The whole Russian-ness of Geno has inspired some awesome generic pieces to this point (example).
With the popularity of the HBO 24/7 series, the Winter Classic and the Pens still near the top of the league, I expect the number of unlicensed Geno shirts to continue on this upward trajectory.
